This is the time of the year that I spend a great amount of time helping our senior citizens with their Medicare options. There is an Annual Enrollment Period from November 15 until December 31 that allows every Medicare recipient to reevaluate their coverage and make changes.

This year the rates for Part B of Medicare (deducted from Social Security checks) increased by 15%. This year there will be no cost of living raises on the same Social Security checks. All seniors on Social Security are getting pay cuts.

I did notice the House bill passed on last Saturday night will pay for Health Care with $500 billion cuts in Medicare.
