The number of people who are purchasing Health Insurance are growing. The Government website is improving.

However, people remain confused and frustrated. I have a suggestion to help. For an independent broker to provide help to the public they need:

1. To secure a license with that State Insurance Department

2. Certify with the Federally Facilitated Marketplace

3. Own Errors and Omissions Insurance

4. License with each Insurance Company that they represent

Navigators have none of the above. I have not heard one person suggest that the public would be well served to call a qualified professional broker. Using a broker does not raise the price of the Insurance at all.
