A dentist who has a large clientele of poor people was just informed that due to the new Health Care Reform insurance for the poor (nationally known as Medicaid) will not pay for tooth extractions of anyone over the age of 21. This was part of the “Medicare Cost Savings” to help fund the new law.

Sounds like a sound economical decision? What will happen now is that these poor people will now go to the emergency room where they have to be treated. This will fill up the lobbies. Also the Hospital will have to write off the cost of the procedure. How do they make this loss back? They have to raise rates to Insurance Companies. The “savings” the government promised now are funded by higher Health Insurance premiums.

Ever see the “pea in the shell” game? Guess where the pea is. The con artist will never let you win. I see similarities.
