FINANCIAL PLANNING 101

The first rule in Financial Planning is: SPEND LESS THAN YOU MAKE.

This principle precedes tax planning, investing, and retirement accounts. All the data shows that Americans are struggling with this basic step. The economy is down. Incomes have dropped. Now is the time to get creative.

Bring a lunch instead of going out. A Friday night date can be an ice cream and leisurely walk instead of dinner and a movie. The latte can be replaced with fresh coffee brewed at home. Coupons and sales are better than ever. Always ask before you open your wallet “Is this a want or a need?”

STOP PAYING BIG WELL ADVERTISED CORPORATIONS AND KEEP SOME OF YOUR MONEY.
